Was just watching the series on the history channel, and caught an A&M logo on the back of one of the chopper pilots helmet.

I mean...
I was coming on here to post that very same thing about the ATM on the helmet. About that time the text at the bottom said about 1/3 of the medivac pilots were casualties. Got me to wondering if the Aggie made it back?
A friend posted it on a facebook, sadly it was a Q, it had a treble clef on it. I kid, I kid good bull. (Kidding about the sadly, not the picture)

I was with the Marines, 1/7, on Hill 55, in 1968/9. The hill was an old French fort that contained a portable landing pad. One of the chopper pilots that flew in frequently was an Ag. For the life of me I cannot remember his name.

There was a member of my WORWAC class at Ft. Wolters (late 1967 time frame) last name Applegarth, who claimed to be an Aggie.
jooch, my husband is from mineral wells and his mom was on the committee to help fix up ft wolters, even though the base is closed down they have a vietnam wall there, a historical marker for the post and fixed up the entrance with new helicopters (sorry off topic but wolters was the training base for those pilots)
Don't want to hijack the thread, but we had a chopper pilot that was from NJ and sounded and acted like it. Playing poker one nite, he found out I was an Aggie and told several aggie jokes. He said he heard them at Wolters!
I've watched them all and will again, this and WWII in HD were both very well done...
