Coming into town tomorrow for Whiskey Myers and Shane Smith and was wondering if Floore's still closes down prior to the concerts. Looking for a place to eat and was hoping to eat there before the concert.

I had my first restaurant experience in El Chap 47 years ago when I was a month old. TBH, the last couple of trips have been decent, not what I grew up with, hence my comment.

I agree with El Chap being decent. I was there a few weeks back and they didn't have enough staff so service was slow. The bar is ok if you want beer but not so much if you want mixed drinks.

You've got more El Chap experience than me by about 30 years! We stopped going there for several years because the service was just awful. I agree right now the service is hit and miss. I had an older gentleman a couple of weeks ago that was just terrible. The food has been more consistent for us the last few months, which is good. But you have standards I can only imagine!

El Chap is still great, check out the Carlos's Special. The ribs at BDaddys are great, too. Or you can toodle up SH16 to Bandera and get a CFS at the OST.
