Never been out to the area, so I don't know if this is the correct "regional" board.

Thinking about taking my family out to Concan. With the current state of State parks and needing reservations, is there other public access to the Frio other than Garner Stare Park?

Check out Neals Lodges. Plenty of access points.

Also look at Chalk Bluff about 15 miles outside Uvalde

During the week, you might have the entire river to yourself

Neal's can be a real cluste**** on a summer weekend. (It's a great spot)

Chalk bluff is getting rough around the edges these days, but it's not usually crowded.

We've been booking Riverbend on the Frio for the past couple of years and have been happy.

Chalk Bluff is getting rough. The weekends there is a no go for us. Too bad as it's a beautiful area.

Thats the campground where my family used to go during the summer when I was a kid back in the 80's/ early 90's. We used to do a lot of floating in and around this area. Super neat camping area.

I didn't think I'd ever hear about this place again. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

As per the Governors new orders today we ARE only NOT allowed to rent tubes or Shuttle you.
We STILL sell tubes in the store

We`ve stayed in the Cabins at Frio Buckhorn RV Park. It was great!
They were very friendly!! The Cabins were very clean!!
