Are there any fish in there? I have never fished it but heard it was tough. Just finished refurbing a Jon boat and ready to head out. Any good crappie holes?

Hey Reel, I have a place at Medina, and fish it a lot. Bass fishing is tough, but at the right times you can catch some around structure with worms and some times top waters. I was there this weekend, and we caught 15 catfish (not big ones, but good eating size) behind Turks head, in about 2 hours using cheese bait in about 12' of water. I used to catch a lot of crappie on jigs when the lake was full around brush piles, but with the lake not full, I have a hard time finding good brush. I also have some friends that do really well with jug lines in the spring. I have seen them catch catfish up to 45 lbs. Good luck!

My parents live super close by Medina...and my Dad goes out 3-4 times a week...always has good luck. Mainly with Bass..but he is pretty good at figuring out where they are...and he is out there EARLY in the morning.....
And that shark story..that was the first I heard of that, CRAZY!

Wasn't there an alligator or crocodile found in Medina Lake about 10 years ago too?

I heard it was up 2 feet. That is quite a bit. May be up more now.

I heard it went up about 4 ft over the weekend from the rain on Friday, and then another 2 ft by Monday.
