Building new residential construction in Houston. Centerpoint set the temporary meter 2 months back and i just received our first electrical bill (budget power provider)

We are currently framing so our KWH usage will be small which matches the bill (66 KWH). However there is a PASSCHG: TDSP passthru charge listed on the bill for $407 !

I understand this a CenterPoint charge but that cant be correct can it? 400+ CenterPoint charge every month?

Centerpoint didn't set that meter for free. It's reflected on your first bill. It won't be monthly.

Thanks guys y'all were correct it was the install fee

Electricity company said it was monthly but they clearly were mistaken
