1969 brick home I'm getting ready to sell. Changing out windows. Has 23-3/4"x71-3/4" clear brick opening with arch. Having a hard time fining someone who can make an arched vinyl window (CHEAP) that is 23" wide. 23-1/2" wide I've found but that gives zero room for error on fit and square and dropping $3k on 4 of these is not something I'm gonna risk that on.
I can get a fixed 23x59 rectangle window for these 4 locations for about a $2600 savings over the 23-1/2" radius top fixed windows.
I would need to frame in a header and install a finish material for the half-round section. No problem but what are some ideas on finish look to not make it look totally bush league.
Anyone done it? Got Pics to share? My first thought is infill and sheath and then a sticky thin brick to somewhat match existing or a direct contrast color that works.
Color combo of house is black roof, white trim, black front door, white windows, brick is essentially brown. This is obviously on the road frontage facing elevation
