i have some bird/bat/hawk/animal of some sort that is making a high pitch shrill in my back yard at night. any idea what it might be. probably 40 yards from the house. seems to be off the ground. seems to be a single animal

Y'all have got to watch this documentary on YouTube about extreme it's watching. It is incredible and hilarious and I had no idea people were as insane as these folks are about bird watching.

Barred owl screeching. Seems like they only make that sound this time of year when the baby owls are fledging. I have a few that hang around my yard and go back and forth. Tripped me out the first time I heard it but after lots of googling I finally figured out what it was.

Yeah those barred owls make some freaky noises. They can sound like monkeys sometimes.

Just watched the first half of a flight. Amazing and hilarious.

I was just going to watch for a minute or two before takeoff and got sucked in to paying for WiFi for it.
