I am relocating some water lines in a mobile home that has 2x3 wall studs. I want to use a copper stub out but my issue is the standard ones with the nail flange would turn down right at the back side of the studs. Would there be any issues if I got a stub out without the nail flange and secure it like the following?

Thats fine. But you have tonuse a copper clamp also right at the edge of the stud

Otherwise it will be flimsy

They make copper stub out brackets that should help secure these for you. Multiple options depending on LM actual layout

Also. Might consider putting it a cross brace between the studs and use a brass drop ear elbow with a brass nipple and threaded valve.

The problem with the bracket is that I don't have access to the front side of the wall to secure it. I'm having to do everything on the back side.

I would use a stronger strap. Not real knowledgeable in this area, perhaps metal to metal isn't a good idea

either way, add another one after the bend in the vertical position
