Went out to assert my dominance on some wasps and noticed one of the panes of glass on a front window was broken. I checked and it's completely through to the inside. I'm assuming my yard guy or the neighbor across the street's kicked up a rock. No biggie.

These are single lane original windows to the house (built in '97), so I'm assuming I just pop the vinyl covers off and finish breaking it out, then cleaning out the caulk, and then just reversing the process with new caulk and a new piece of glass?

Heat up the glazing and try to peel it off. It will most likely fall apart though. It won't be that expensive for a glass company to come replace it.
