Where do you get yours? I've been going to Leslie Pools or Lowes for convenience.

Is there a cheaper source out there?

I get it at Lowe's

If anyone knows a cheaper source I'd like to know as well.

DE has gone nuts (along with everything else pool related) in the last couple of years. I remember DE was $26.99 now it's $45. It was $56 for a short time earlier this summer. I usually go to Home Depot, but looks like Lowe's has it for $40 right now. Saw a couple on Amazon for $35 for 25 lbs.

I always bought at Home Depot when it was basically $1/lb ($27 for 25lb), but then it went crazy. Right now, it's $45 at HD and $40 at Lowe's. I last bought on Amazon for around $35 for 25lbs.

I had DE filter on my last pool and now have a pool with regular fabric filters. It's a lot cheaper and easier. Messing around with DE and still having to clean the filters every quarter or so was a lot more hassle.

Agreed. My old pool had the pleated cartridges. New one is DE. The old pool was much more convenient. The DE sure does filter the water well, though!
