How long do you want to ignore this user?
Background: water leak from water heater pipe in attic, undetermined number of days. Fortunately, damage limited to garage-area shop, walled with half-inch particle board. Demoed that last night, removing spray-in foam insolation. Drywall on the other side, while not wet, appears to have mold.
Question: is there an effective mold treatment that will keep me from having to replace the drywall? Any other precautions? TIA

No product will remove the mold. I work in mold remediation. Drywall is a porous material and should be removed to be 100% safe. Shoot me a PM and I'll point you to some products to treat the studs with. FYI. Bleach and alcohol do not kill mold. Only make mold look like it's gone.

Milner, if maddiedou is offering to help, take him up on it. He has helped several of us out of bad situations.
