May be time in the DFW area, but still a few weeks away in the Houston region. This is according to the late Randy Lemmons schedule and Skip Richters schedule.

Got mine down yesterday. When night time temps hit mid/low 60s you're too late. So if you don't do it today in dfw don't bother

Did mine yesterday as well; gallery, dimension, & nitrogen fertilizer.

Pre emergent on my st aug almost ruined my lawn. Yeah yeah yeah, I know st Aug is terrible but I didn't choose it so I'm stuck with it

I went ahead and ordered mine. I can't find just regular dimension or barricade here in BCS. I've found Pendulum but it did not work well for me. So I order it from domyown.com

So can someone explain why OP's link says to apply a high nitrogen fertilizer while Randy Lemmon's schedule says it should be a low nitrogen mix.

Pre-Emergent shouldn't cause St. Augustine to blink. It goes down 4-5 times a year on mine. Never had an issue or know anyone who has.

If it's well-established it doesn't harm SA at all. My yard looks outstanding.

The only time I've seen pre-em do anything to SA is when people over-apply or they use a pre/post mix that isn't safe for SA.
