Just a little mold.

What's that hiding in the corner?

You think this is edible? Will it take me on a trippy journey through time and space?

I would kill it with fire but not sure burning the house down is the appropriate solution here.

On the other side of the wall is the end of a bathtub but it is the not the faucet side. I'm assuming the tub is the source of the moisture but I have no idea how water would get to that side. No visible sign of water damage on the faucet side at all.

This had to have popped up within the last few days. This section of wall is behind a door that stays open most of the time so I almost never see the wall.

Dang! I know moisture promotes mold growth, but don't mushrooms basically grow in poop or other decay? I honestly know nothing about them, but there's gotta be some kind of food there for them, right? ETA - wrong emoji

wow. Hey sheet rock repair is relatively inexpensive and easy. I'd have the wall opened up like yesterday to find out what's going on!

There's probably wood rot behind the wall.

If this were my property I would have slapped on a respirator and handled that part already. The problem is this is a "luxury" apartment and I can't do any self-repairs.

Supposedly they will be in today.to look at it.

Stop using bathroom

Killz and heavy latex paint

Sell house

Profit

But seriously, if it were mine, I'd fix whatever the moisture issue is, concrobium spray whatever I could, and paint over it. People make a lot bigger deal out of fungus and mold than they need to. Just make sure it's fixed right and cleaned up well and you don't have to disclose it if you ever sell.
