Anyone have experience DIYing backyard patio sail shades? I'm looking to get some summer relief for the patio with quick connect carabiners or something to take down in the wind storms. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Been looking at these too. They have some posts that screwing into the ground, of course they aren't super stable but you can always take the sail off when not in use.

Disregard, all reviews on screw type poles are horrible as expected. Go for something solid.

I put one up at my last house with two corners attached to the house and one corner to our pergola that covered a section of the deck. Used turnbuckles on two corners. Very easy and held up well.

Add some heavy duty springs (trampoline style) at the attachment points to reduce stress on the grommets and bolts.

This is the company I used.

They use all stainless hardware which I appreciated. Everything is very robust.

They were very receptive to design changes I wanted to make on the anchoring portions for my specific project (aluminum beams).
