We're getting a bounce house for our son's birthday at the end of June. It'll probably be up for 24 hours, from late morning early afternoon to late morning early afternoon. This spot is on the west side of the house, so typically full afternoon and evening sun. I'm wondering if it will damage the grass underneath. Right now it's pretty healthy zoysia, and I'd love to keep it that way if possible. Should I more before or wait until after? My normal watering day is the day before. Should I wait until after or follow the normal schedule and maybe water again after it's taken down?

Here's a picture of the spot:

One or two days won't kill your grass (not an expert).

May stress the grass, won't kill it in a day.

I'd be more worried about killing the kids in a bounce house in the middle of summer.

I've rented them many times when kids were younger. We usually kept them up all weekend long and never once experienced the grass dying. Admittedly, it was never this time of the year though. (Fall and early Spring).

Air only bounce house won't kill the grass over a weekend. We have a water bounce house & I definitely don't leave it on the grass for more than 2 days.

I lol'ed at this. We're having the party in the evening when it should hopefully be a little cooler. He's super excited about it. He's also turning 3, and I swear kids that age just don't feel just like the rest of us. They can run around outside for hours and still be going strong.

Done it many times. The whole weekend won't even matter.

Just had a waterslide/bounce house combo on my St. Augustine from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening. The grass didn't love it but it won't be noticable in a few days.

We've done a big, long sheet of plastic on the sunny side of house St. Augustine for a slip n slide every year on July 4th & it will turn it yellow but hasn't killed it.

This. Those waterslide inflatables will wreck yard much faster than air bounces. Ask me how I know

We bought a bounce house off Amazon for our 2 year old, and she loves it. It's up most weekends and the grass is fine. I do pick the bounce house up at the end of every day so the grass recovers a little between each day, but the grass is fine. No stress seen on it, just laid down for a few hours and pops right back up.

I have a blow up bounce house water slide type thing we put on our Bermuda. Typically it's up around 24 -36 hours and has little to no effect. Keep it under 48 hours and I think you will be fine.
