Two weeks ago I replaced the carubertor and gas tank, along with spark plug on my gas edger. It's a walk behind type with a B&S engine. Anyway, the carb came pre-built but it won't prime now. When I first installed it, it started up no problem. But now it won't prime at all. I'm wondering if maybe it is a gasket issue. I can pour a little gas diretly in or use starting fluid and it will run just fine. Just won't prime.

Check hoses and connections for leaks. you may be pulling in air.

550 series 158 cc. I replaced everything because my son put the oil/gas mix into it all last summer and we had to spray starting fluid in it to start. Once I figured out he was doing that I just decided to replace everything.
