I just had my floors refinished but some areas look unacceptable. For those that have had this done, what can I do to fix them? I've reached out to the contractor so I'll see what his answer is too.

Unless the flooring is supposed to be distressed, I wouldn't be happy with that.
Did they not fill the wood after doing three aggressive sanding? Usually they go back and forth covering the wood with a filler.
It doesn't seem like they did based on those photos.
Having said that wood is natural and hard to prevent little chips. But the holes look really strange in that one photo.
