I am going to repaint some interior trim and also cheap Ikea like furniture for my daughter. Which paint will give me fewer brush strokes?

I have been looking at the BEHR PREMIUM Urethane Alkyd Semi-Gloss Enamel and Oil-Base Semi-Gloss Enamel from Home Depot.

Reviews for both seem similar, regarding brush strokes. Just wondering if anyone has hands on experience and a recommendation.

I have been told the cheap furniture has been primed with a bonding primer and sanded smooth. I will need to verify that part first-hand. I will be painting with a combination of a brush and small foam roller.

Thanks in advance.

Skip any of the paint sold at blue or orange big box stores. Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore will lay down much better. Get a nice brush and add some floetrol and it will lay down pretty smooth. Alternatively, buy a cheap airless sprayer and practice a little with getting it dialed in. Mine cost $40 bucks on Amazon and it does a better job than brushes and rollers.

I agree with rillo. There's no such thing as good, cheap paint.
