Due to freeze this winter. It's only 2, but they're in the middle of a bunch of others. Rather than digging them up, do they make a green spray just for better look?

Actually no. If I dug them up, it would take a good five years for the new shrubs to catch up with the others. They are off the street enough that passerbys wont be able to tell. Trying to go the easy route, but don't want it to look stupid. Just asking.

What kind we talking about and is there some substitute you could get that wouldn't be any better than some off green paint not really matching the actual shrub?

Boxwoods. Figured it was a dumb question, but I didn't know what, if anything, was out there

I expect you could probably find boxwoods of a similar size and plant those.

Pull them and replace with decorative gnomes that will protect the rest.

OP, you would have better luck replacing them with cardboard cutouts…

Pull them out. Pull others out to match (they're boxwoods, for Christ's sake!). Replace with big pots and annual flowers.

call local landscaper. Ask him to hold on to mature same shrub when he is redoing someone's landscaping. Instant fill

You may have boxwood blight. If the new ones die too you are better off getting rid of all of the boxwoods as it will continue to spread and kill them.

People still plant boxwoods? Is it the green mustache of boxwoods cuz that's even more of a reason to get rid of them

I'd pull'em out.

All my landscape buddies would pull them and replace with something ideal for that spot as per pro advice, either local or free radio, e.g. Garden Success, KAMU-FM, Neil Sperry in Dallas, etc.

I do have friends that planted vines that would use the severly trimed back "stumps" to climb - but wouldn't suggest these became aesthetic topiary, rather they formed rounded greenery ala shrubs .... best if evergreens selected

One guy simply chainsawed them close to grade and was able to find enough earth to plant between them; what I don't recall.
