I have a 2/3 acre lot that I am installing an electric fence around to keep the dogs from digging under.

Bought these:

Briidea 2-Mile Electric Fence Energizer for Preventing Wild Animals Intruding 8 Acres Output Voltage 5000 V 0.1Joule

YCFERESY Electric Fence Polywire 656 Feet200 Meter6 Stainless Steel Strands for Reliable Conductivity and Rust ResistancePortable Electric Fence Rope

And now I have a couple questions:

1) What type/gauge of insulated wire do I need for grounding/running where I don't need it to shock? Best deal for 25-200 feet? Links would be great!

2) I can't find insulators for attaching to wrought iron fence (pictured). What is the best way to do this?

I used these:

but used self tapping screws.

And you should be fine with any underground fence cable rated for your transformer.

American FarmWorks 50 ft. Underground Electric Fence Cable, 12.5 Gauge, Rated to 20,000V at Tractor Supply Co.

Gallagher Electric Fence Company makes the insulator you want. I use them. Top notch gear.
The
Insulators will slide on from the bottom on those vertical rails and screw tight by hand. See link.

Also they make high voltage insulated electric fence wire.
Electric fences can reach 9000 volts.

You can probably buy them from Amazon. I've used the store in the links.
Also your local feed store may have them, I get a lot from a local Farm & Ranch supply store.

Highly recommend Gallagher poly wire. It's like string with 9 braided SS wires in it. Easy to use
. Also they have tensioners with built in insulators.

I cross fence and rotational graze using tempt electric fence.

If you can, return that yellow and black electric poly wire . It does not last in the sun, UV eats it up. I had very bad exteith it, bought some at TSC.
The Gallagher lasts several years longer.
Aluminum wire is the best for permanent electric fence.

I used aluminum wire. I think it's 12g. It carriers current better. Don't go crazy with this, your dogs only need to hit it one time each to make it work. For training wild animals, I put foil on the wire dipped in peanut butter. Whether you do that with your dogs is up to you. It will not kill them but it will quickly reinforce that the area is to be avoided. For me, I'd do it in a heartbeat if the consequence for escape is death or injury to the dog.

For the insulated portion of your run, you need wire with thick enough insulation so that you don't get an arc to ground. Typical wire you buy on a spool at Home Depot is usually 300 or 600V. Not enough. Use something like this:
