How long do you want to ignore this user?
I may have screwed up bad, I laid sod at the end of September. Yesterday, I went to ACE and grabbed a bag of what I thought was just fertilizer " I apparently can't read" it was Weed & Feed for St Augustine, its make up is 29-0-4 with 2% Atrazine. What the odds that I killed my sod? The soil is pretty sandy, I turned on my sprinkler system this morning to water those zone for 30 minutes a piece, and we are suppose to get rain this evening. My sod is about 25% dormant.

I know I am an idiot but it is what it is!

The chances are 0%. Fertilizer is fertilizer. Will work for any grass. And I believe Atrazine is a broadleaf killer, won't hurt Bermuda either.

I have read mixed answers on the Atrazine, some people say it will kill Bermuda, some say it won't. I figured this would be a really good place to come to get a solid answer. Worst case scenario I have to put down about 15,000sqft of sod again! LOL!!

Thanks for the response.

I didn't think anything could kill Bermuda since it's really a weed. It may look rough for a few weeks but it will be fine once it grows a bit.

The main threat is possible root inhibition or damage, especially on newer sod. But if everything rooted down strongly last September you should be fine. Once warm/hot weather arrives, Bermudagrass will take off and regrow any damage.
Yeah, well, sometimes nothing is a real cool hand

I've mixed atrazine to spray for certain trouble weeds that 2,4-d won't touch and sprayed it all over a Bermuda yard. Have not noticed any issues except for dead weeds.

Atrazine can burn bermuda if it is warmer outside but as far as killing it good luck. I had a yard with st augustine that bermuda was mixed in. I intentionally used atrazine to try to kill it and when it was warmer it would burn/turn it brown but in the end the bermuda always came back no matter how much atrazine I put on the zard. Be careful using atrazine around trees. I have seen it kill a live oak before.
