I have a damaged vent cover that I'm not entirely sure what it is so finding a replacement is proving difficult.

This is not a dryer/exhaust fan cover - I've accounted for all those and they are a different style.

This is near where my cold air returns meet and head towards the air handler though it could be a coincidence. My hunch is that its some kind of passive air vent that connects to my HVAC. I attached pictures and a better view of what it looks like on my neighbor's house.

Seems like the kind of thing that would be easily found to replace but I must not be using the right words to search for it because I only get exhaust louvered covers coming up. What is this really called? What is behind it? Think I can find a replacement for just the exterior face of the vent?

Assuming I can find the replacement, anyone have a recommendation for a great handyman in Houston? By the time I buy a 25 foot ladder and climb up it, I'll wish I had paid someone.

First, make sure whomever is doing your roof is double checking that items like that are in your insurance estimate.

I cannot see your duct size or anything, so bear with me if I missed the ballpark here. Is this the correct size?

Probably a fresh air intake of some sort. Something behind that needs combustion air? Water heater, furnace, etc.?
