Tried this on the GB and got some fun responses. Before I enter the queue for LG tech support I thought I would ask you fine people for input.
We have an LG washer that won't turn on in the normal fashion.
We have tried the trick where you "reset" it by unplugging, holding the power button for five seconds, then holding the start button for five seconds, then plugging it back in.
No bueno. That doesn't solve it. You still have to unplug and plug back in every time you want to run a wash load.
However…
If you power up the dryer to dry a load of clothes, the washer will power up the display panel.
Is this an issue with the control board or the noise filter?
I don't want to throw parts at it but those two seem like the most obvious culprits based on the videos I have watched (where experienced repairmen with their own appliance repair business did indeed throw parts at it).
