How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm looking for a contractor to build a custom sized solarium here in Bryan.
I am building a home, and the solarium will be attached to the back of the home along two sides. The remaining two sides and the ceiling will be glass.
My architect has the dimensions drawn out, and I have a rendering and photos of what I want the finished structure to look like.
Several of the companies that I have talked to that specialize in these structures, only build the specific sizes and specs of their "kits".
If y'all can recommend anyone for this project, please let me know.

If you can't find a glass company to design/build something like a minimal frames shower w/glass roof .... then
have the architect refine that area to be stud framed for patio sliding doors and shingle/metal roof full of Velux skylights = anyone can supply that sort of glass pronto.

There are also pergola framers about, e.g.

Between the posts, a glass co. can fill in glass.
Pergola guys are topping pergolas with clear Lexan these days.

I'd be afraid of using glass as the ceiling. I just think of the old Dairy Queen's where you can't even sit in them for most of the year. Not to mention if you get a hail storm and trying to get a glass company to work on your roof. I'd love to see pictures of what it looks like and your thought's on it when you get it done. I'm not aware of anyone that does these in Texas.

I would frame out of cedar and enclose with topgal and poly gal panels. The topgal is really good stuff although it's not cheap. Basically a standing seam poly that we use on pergolas all the time.

Might look into Solar Innovations. I'm in commercial glazing and have used them for structural skylights a few times.

I don't know of any contractors in Bryan/CS but can reach out to a few contacts and see if I can get some recommendations. Do you mind sharing the sketches/plans you have?

Thanks for all of the responses!
Streetfighter2012: I'm sending you an email with some additional details. If you turn up any contractors that would be able to tackle this project, let me know. Thanks!

I'm a little confused whether you're the same person as the OP. Regardless, I would appreciate the OP posting his plans. I have a similar interest and would like to see how he approached it. Try to learn. Many years ago I designed a small, unattached greenhouse built, much like a solarium, with glass sides and roof. Now I want to consider incorporating a solarium in a new home plan.

Agengineer: I'm sorry for the the confusion. A family member was logged in on Texags and I didn't realize it when I made a previous post. I don't have the plans on my phone, but will try to remember to post photos when I can. It's a pretty simple shed roof design with the roof and two sides glass.
