Fireplace grate that doesn't suck?

By that I mean crap out after 3-4 years. Wood burning.

I see some mondo ones online but my fear is they do the same, eventually.

So, keep buying the $35 model at tractor supply every 3-4 years or any of these $150-$300 pieces on the web do me much better?

Have gas logs now but when burning wood I always bought a grate from a local fireplace shop because I didn't care for the quality at HD & Lowe's. I don't recall replacing them very often. They certainly lasted longer than 3-4 years. I'd give one of the better grates a shot.

My fireplace has a screen that slides. Is that what you mean? I have never had to replace one of those ever.

I bought this one about 5 years ago and it has been great. It is still as good as new.
