Our downstairs HVAC is Lennox w/ an iComfort touch thermostat. It's terrible, as some may expect.
The wiring for it is using some i+,i- proprietary pins. I'm semi-handy, so I went into the attic and the mainboard in the air handler has the traditional Rc, Rh, Green, White, etc terminals that can be used.
So all I should need to do is move from the Lennox i+,i- terminal and connect to legacy. My understanding is that when Nest/EcoBee calls for heat or cooling, it may not take advantage of the stage 1 vs stage 2.
How much should I care? Anyone have thoughts?
