Can anyone recommend a stable/ethical company in DFW for a kitchen and bath remodel including flooring. Trying to find someone for my elderly mom's house.

Hi BoDog, I recommend Grant Ford, Ford Construction--he did a fantastic job remodeling my Mother-In-Law's house corner to corner inside after the freeze we had last year. PM me and I'll give you his number.

For just $14k or so over and above what the Insurance paid, he remodeled the house including floors, repainted all walls, fixed all sorts of stuff, and took off the popcorn ceilings. All new cabinets, we moved a wall over 2 feet to make room for a corner pantry close in the kitchen, rewired major portions of the house. Just thinking about it now makes me so grateful.

Oh, and the converted the built-in sunken tub and shower into a Walk-in Shower and an extra closet. Really well done workmanship all throughout. He is a strong Christian man and is very fair-minded.

Kitchen:

Living Room:

I showed him a photo of a Hampton Inn and he came up with this. He converted the old Wood Burning Fireplace into this with a seated hearth and Electric Fireplace. He recreated the paneling look but that is smooth drywall between the trim pieces. He is an expert trim guy.

Master Bath:

On the left you see the full size Mirror going from countertop to ceiling. Since we had plenty of bathroom pantry closet space I had him keep a powder area. Off to the left you see the walk-in shower where the sunken tub was. behind it is the closet where the sunken shower was.



Wish I had a better picture of the walk-in shower, but you get the idea. The cut-out is where the window was, but that is filled in now.
