How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have St Augustine and am ready to take this on myself. Was wondering if there is some kind of calendarized schedule out there on when to apply fertilizers (and composition of said fertilizer), weed control and pesticides. Would want something Metroplex oriented as I am sure the timing varies by region.

This is sort of what I do, with some variations. Randy is based out of Houston, so his timing is based on their climate (I'm in north DFW). I do my first preemergent usually in mid to late January. I also do 4 preemergent treatments, and he only shows 3.

I usually do the following:

Fertilizer: April, June, August, October
Herbicide (preemergent): January, March, June, September

Anything else is just as needed. I try to be more regular about insecticides, as I have issues with armadillos, and if I don't kill their food source regularly, they will wreck havoc on my yard.

My dad would always say that Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day were government holidays to give you time off to fertilize your yard. That schedule works for me.
