When it runs it's does fine though. It seems like every time we open it or close it I have to go turn the thrown breaker back on. Any electrician or appliance background know what's causing this?
Well there's your problem, lady.BrandoC said:
Front cover box to the right. Almost right by the front door hidge. Quick flash coming out of box. Saw it from the corner of my eye as it was sitting there not even running.
If it's hardwired into the wall, you should have a light switch near the sink to cut power to it.BenTheGoodAg said:
By the way, unplug the machine as soon as you can or leave the breaker open. Don't let the thought of "it hasn't started a fire so far" sway you from making the safe call. That's called risk creep. Exposed wiring is no joke, even at 120V.

It sounds like the cable that works through the door has worn through its insulation and is causing a short. That would make sense why you would trip your breaker when you open or close the door (which jostles the cable), and not when you run the machine.
