How long do you want to ignore this user?
Just had a patch of my lawn resodded w st Augustine. I have a bhyve and have it set to water 10 mins 3 times a day for a week. Is that enough? It gets plenty wet and it's not so hot this time of year. Thanks for any help

That sounds good. You just don't want the soil to dry out.

Rule of thumb is water new sod more than you think you need. It is unlikely that you're going to over water it, even this time of year. "10min 3x a day" doesn't really quantify how much water is being put down, but I would think 30min/day is not enough. You want it to set roots in the ground before it goes dormant over the winter, and I doubt 10min intervals of watering even soaks the soil beneath the sod.

This. New sod takes a ton of water. Like 1/2' per day or better

We did in the corner of our yard and used a soaker hose. Basically had it on a trickle from when I let the dog out in the morning until lunch. A good way to see how much your sprinkler puts out, an empty can of tuna is about 1", see how long it takes to fill up.

You basically want it to be soaking wet all the time.

Per the turf farm I got my sod from this summer:

Hand water that area at least once daily until it is soaked for two weeks, then back off to normal schedule assuming roots start to take hold. Don't mow it and keep foot traffic off of it for those two weeks also.
