We are looking to replace the front and back doors on our house in SW Houston this summer. Anyone have good recommendations or experiences to pass along?

Not sure if they will go to your area but we just used Hoelscher Weatherstrip Manufacturing in Tomball and they did a fantastic job. We got a solid wood door w/ 3/4 light installed for $1300 about 8 months ago. Highly recommend. They bring the finished door out and then cut the hinge location on site rather than ripping out framing and all that nonsense.

Used Hoelsher as well in 09 and 12 at different houses and they did a solid job.

We used Southern Front Doors off Jones Rd last year to replace the front door. They seemed reasonably priced and did a great job. We live in SW Houston as well.

We are looking to replace a standard commercial glass door with something more residential looking. Odd size though: 42" x 85"

55.5" x 87"
It was a complete take out and install new casing, door jam etc.
$3460 was the final. Not a cheap project, but was the less expensive company. One place wanted $4100.
