Any of y'all have any experience or even heard of the Sunday lawn care service? I keep getting the adds on Instagram and signed up for a year today. Just curious what I should expect.
Also for reference - currently live in the PNW.

If you're not familiar - here is the link https://www.getsunday.com/

When I was a kid I didn't ever mow grass on Sunday.

Yes I've been using them in east texas. Too early to tell how effective it is. What questions do you have?

You send in a soul sample which they analyze and adjust your periodic kit accordingly. Bags of fertilizer with hose attachment.

Really just curious if it's a scam or if I can expect a glorious lawn

Good question. Don't think it's a scam. They use natural/organic ingredients. Pretty easy to apply. I think my grass was looking good going into the winter but will need another season to be sure. I've got an organic fertilizer service on my dallas yard and it took 2 seasons to make an impact.

We ordered it, and either their packaging or shipping sucks. We have had our shipment returned by both UPS and Fedex after it being damaged on two occasions. We ordered 3 weeks ago and haven't received anything yet. We're just going to cancel it and get a refund.

I started using Sunday last year and am really happy with it. Noticeable difference compared to my neighbors who generally use Scott's products.

I looked into this and thought it might be a good option to DIY without having to think too much. That is until a buddy of mine told me to check out the lawn care nut on YouTube. He has tons of video on how/what to use to get your lawn in great shape. He has digital book for southern lawns that is $24 and auto updates, blog posts, endless videos and an app to help you track when and what to throw down. Also has soil test available. Highly recommend if you want to geek out over just getting a subscription box. Just don't tell your neighbors the secrete because you will have the best lawn on the block and will want to keep it that way.

If anything at all, buy a nice honda mower, always have sharp blades, set cut height to highest setting, water properly, use a pre emergent plan and spot treat weeds, find some milogranite (if in East Texas Ace hardware in chandler keeps bags in stock). I am going all in this season. Time to flex in my neighbors.

We finally got our shipment and they gave us a $50 credit and some additional supplies to make up for the hassle. We put on the Lawn Kickstart last weekend and this weekend is the other 2 bags of stuff. Fingers crossed.

I signed up earlier this month as well, have only done some spot weed treatment and the soil test so far. The soil test was surprisingly more thorough than I was expecting and gave some good info. I've got some iron booster and a high nitrogen fertilizer to put down as soon as the rain allows.

The service isn't much more than I would typically spend on chemicals otherwise, so I thought I'd give it a try for a few years. The only thing that makes me leery is that they don't really care what type of grass you have other than a few select bent grass varieties.

If anyone is interested, I can share a referral for $25 credit. E-mail is in my profile.

I had something similar happen, they failed to include the soil sample bag for my sample and sent me a $10 credit and I just used a ziplock.

How's everyone's grass going on this plan? I'm thinking of switching to this next year.

This year's plan is pre-emergent...post emergent... and milorganite. I'm buying a dethatcher as well. Doing way more this year than last year which was nothing on a newly sodded lawn.
