Windstorm in Houston yesterday ripped a set off the front of my house so I need to remake them and reanchor. Never done this before. Good products to use for drilling into mortar and bolting the wood panels?

I'd use a straight up masonry anchor. HD and Lowe's have half a bay of different ones. I like the ones that expand in the hole as you screw it in but there are you screws you just pre drill and go.

The lowes i went to only had crap that looked like plastic drywall anchors intended for concrete. Looked cheap so I passed. They don't have anything metallic that expands as an option?

I like these as well but I can't see how big they are. The ones I recall at HD are fine if your shutters are 1500 lbs and made of steel. :P
