Water faucet at end of garage by (big) door

I really want to add a water faucet (cold) at the end of my garage so I can hang a wall mount pressure washer there. A few years ago, I had a slab leak and instead of cutting into the slab, my plumbers ran hot and cold pex lines from the area of my tankless water heater to my kitchen faucet and dishwasher up and over through the attic, a run of about 25-ish feet. This run would be similar with maybe a little more tubing length but should be much easier as there is nothing really in the garage to prevent someone from going above the water heater closet to above the area where the drop would be. Plus, no dishwasher to remove, getting under the cabinet, etc. They charged me 2 grand, which was probably on the high side to do the slab leak job but that included cutting off the flow to the copper lines, adding several plumbing fixtures, etc. Plus, I'll pay a premium for these guys on any required plumbing work, just don't want to pay a lot for this.

My question is, should this be much trouble for me to do myself? Let's just say I have a plumber come out and install the fittings and hook everything up after I run the pex line, if I do run pex lines up and over the garage area, what do I need to know to do that? In other words, what support does the line need in terms of attaching it to framing, etc.?

There are two things I worry about with pex liners in the attic. Freezing and Rodents. Either will make a huge mess. Ask me how I know.

I want to find an insulating product that will fix both issues. Very valid concern.

Pex should handle freezing pretty well. Rodents....they have teeth.

If you want to insulate it, just use armaflex.

Do rodents really like pex? Guess I never really thought about it.
