Is there a good way to determine if a bermuda lawn is a common or hybrid variety?

As a rule, hybrids will be darker green, have finer leaf blades, a shorter distance between division points, and grow denser and more compact.
Common will be lighter green, broader leaves, "stringier" and less dense.
