We just had artificial turf installed and the installer warned about reflections from low e windows causing the turf to burn/melt. He recommended www.windowfilmforturf.com or a similar product. Does anyone have any familiarity with this problem or products? I'm very concerned about the way the film might look. They have a "clear" film...but the website says it looks like you're looking through a screen. I definitely don't want that look but obviously don't want my turf to burn.

Any thoughts, recs, etc?

I've had artificial turf in my backyard for over a year, with no melting/burning caused by reflections from our bedroom windows. YMMV

Are they low e windows - south or west facing? Good to know. The turf installer showed me a couple of specific spots where south (mainly) and west facing windows were reflecting onto turf and could cause problems.

3M makes UV blocking automotive film for windshields. Would that serve the same purpose as the screen?

Yep, low-e. West facing. Neighbor has the same turf approximately 2.5 years old with the same windows and no issues as well.

Not as fancy of a yard, but 6 years later we never experienced a "melt". This was in the woodlands. Back of house faced due East if relevant.

A lot of windows so not sure if need to determine which one(s) are causing it or try to just tint them all.
