Soaker Hose for Flower Bed Irrigation

I recently replaced my pool deck and in the process ripped out a flex hose mist/drip irrigation system that the previous homeowner installed: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DIG-Flower-Bed-Watering-Kit-R750/202245330?MERCH=REC-_-pipsem-_-204178987-_-202245330-_-N
The drip/mist system was flimsy and high maintenance.

There is about a 36" wide flower bed all the way around the deck. Approx 120 ft. I was thinking about just laying one of those old fashioned soaker hoses all the way around the pool under a layer of mulch and attaching it to the relevant zone on the automatic sprinkler system. I have a water well. Anyone done this?

I bought a soaker hose and found it to be garbage. It would leak more heavily closer to the faucet.

Might be better off with a drip system and little sprinkler heads.

I ripped out the old soaker hose when I bought my house a few years ago. It was rotted anyway. I bought new "high grade" soaker hoses and experienced the same thing. Unless you plan on dedicating one or two hoses per faucet, you'll get very little water at the end while flooding at the beginning. I built a 1/2" PVC pipe drip system with breaks every 18". At each break I put a T and a bubbler. This has worked very well, was easy to build, and was not very expensive.

Thanks that looks like the way to go. I laid out the pipe today.
