Home Security - Ring Retrofit?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I just moved into a new house that has a hardwired security system and two control panels. The house we are moving from was outfitted with a Frontpoint Security system that we installed and we loved to be able to control everything off our phone and see the videos from the three outdoor cameras we installed as well.

In the new house, we have each door with a sensor and a motion sensor. I saw that Ring has a retrofit security system that is able to make my wired system wireless, but I'm not sure if it is worth the trouble of doing that or just completely ripping out the old sensors and retiring the old system and going with whatever I want.

I am not wanting anything crazy, just doors monitored maybe a motion sensor and three outdoor cameras. We already have our indoor cameras through nest cams. Any recommendations?

I have been using Konnected for a couple of years now, which is essentially the same thing as the Ring Retrofit Kit, in that it replaces the current alarm panel with a new panel, but uses existing wiring, and allows for smart home integration.

Since your question seems to be more about that general process, as compared to doing wireless sensors, I won't compare/contrast Konnected and Ring Retrofit.

I'm a big fan of using the existing hardwired sensors. I don't have to worry about replacing batteries, spotty wireless connections, etc. I can still add on wireless or wired sensors if I want, but I already have the majority of my rooms and exterior doors covered. I get all advantages of a new smart system without having to buy all new sensors and pull out old ones (or let them sit there unused).

I can control it on my phone, see status from my phone, connect it to my Echo, add new wired or wireless sensors, etc. Very happy with retrofitting old systems.
