We stripped the popcorn off the ceiling in a bedroom and I'm in the process of texturing the ceiling using USG Ultra Lightweight joint compound with a texturing roller. I decided to go around the perimeter of the room to get the edges done first and when I made it to the place I started, as I was texturing over the area done earlier, some of the texture peeled off during the process.
What am I doing wrong? Should I have primed the ceiling before I started the texture process? Did I start too soon as we stripped it off yesterday evening around 7ish and I started texturing at around 1ish today...everything appeared dry so I didn't think it would be an issue?
Don't want to do any more until I determine the issue as I'm just wasting my time and materials if it's going to peel off...
Appreciate any help with this matter and TIA...
