Lots of factors, rain, humidity levels, how much you filled it up previously, but sounds about right to me. I do mine about twice a week, so I'd say every 3.5 days.
Partially fill a bucket with water and mark the inside where the water comes to (marker or tape). Put the bucket, partially filled, into the pool on a step or a shelf and mark where the outer water comes to (marker or tape).
Give it 24 hours and if the water on the inside and outside have both gone down the same amount (i.e. both lost 1/2 inch) then it's just evaporation. If the outer one has dropped more, you have a leak.
FWIW, I just had my pool in DFW redone last fall, including repairing some small cracks. Evening after having that work done, I'm having to add water every few days right now, as well. It's probably just evaporation, but the bucket test would tell you.
With full afternoon sun exposure and highs in the 90s, expect to lose about an inch per week. Fountains, waterfalls, and kids splashing around increase that even more.
