Does anyone have any experience with this system, https://www.leaffilter.com? Seems like the product will keep the gutters unclogged, but I have my doubts leaves and debris will just wash off.

We had a metal mesh system before getting a new roof but the crape Myrtle debris was always getting stuck to it causing a need to clean the guards 2-3 times a month. It's nice to have a product that keeps the debris out of the gutter, but I'd like to find a product that will keep it offer the guards as well. The debris had a tendency to form a layer that did not wash off during a storm but instead blocked the gutters from doing their job.

If no experience with this system, does anyone have a recommendation for something that can keep out crape Myrtle debris and not have to keep the guard sweet off?

Watching...
I've got to do something in my current house. I'm not ready for a replacement as they're fairly new. If/when I ever replace I'll look at these again. My parents installed them on a home in woody Montgomery county 15 years ago and have never had to clean or unclog their gutters. It handles pine needles, and oak leaves without issue.

Edit... that video animation sucks... They used to show the gutters in action. the leaves, even when wet are shed off the front while surface tension carries the water underneath that weir. The weight of the debris forces it off the front and to the ground.

I had the LeafFilter guards installed last year and I am VERY happy with them. They're on the second story so I don't have a great way to really check how clean they are, but I know they are working based on the amount of shingle granules I have all over my uncovered back patio furniture. Not supposed to have to ever manually clean them and they have a lifetime warranty.

If you DO decide to get these, I recommend saying no to the sales guy that comes out until he is about to leave to keep dropping the price. Their first quote was insanely high, but he kept coming down and down and down. He actually did leave and got in his truck and then got a call back from his manager saying they could give us the materials for free (from a big commercial job they had going one) and just pay for installation (YMMV).

Bought these from Costco and knocked out the gutters in an afternoon. I haven't had any clogs and the drainage is much better. It was pretty easy or me to do without spending too much $.

My concern with these are pine needles. I have no pine trees, but just about all of my neighbors do.

I do have something similar to that (from Amazon) on a different section of my gutters that I can actually get to. I'll have to check on how that is doing

Not sure even pine needles would make it inside in great enough numbers and even then it'd probably wash away with water...

Correction, I did have them replace that piece of DIY mesh with the LeafFilter as well. Here is a picture from yesterday (after heavy rain during the day). This is approximately 6 months after installation:

As you can see, other than the shingle grit tucked up under the shingles, there is nothing but a few fresh leaves. I'd say these are working great!

Bumping this instead of a new thread, any further anecdotes? I'm going to do this.
