Have a 1000sf patio out of Decomposed Granite.

Looking for more of a weed prevention procedure.

I have spotted with round-up.

Would a pre-emergent be more effective?

Could i sterilize the whole patio using salt?

Any suggestions?

No help here. I'm still trying to figure it out. Best I've found so far is regular raking and glyphosate.

Use the extended grass killer that lasts a year. You can get it anywhere. Just be sure to apply it in dry weather with no rain for a few days it can leach a little if first applied wet conditions.

As posted above, almost any extended weed and grass killer will work. Round up 365 works well also.

Just use a pear burner, also known as a cactus burner, also known as a propane heating torch. That's what lots of folks with rock yards use.

Use a soil sterilant like Mojave or Sureguard and you're set for 8-10 months.
