Clogged roof vent [sink] = sewage odor in house?

I'm getting an awful sewage odor in the house that is originating from under the sink. I can smell it outside too, all on the same exterior wall where the sink roof vent is located. Other pipe issues have been ruled out (pee trap is done properly, it isn't the garbage disposal, clean out pipe is not clogged)

My Google Fu is turning up either a clog in the vent pipe or crack in the vent pipe.

Anyone deal with this, and what did you find? Trying to determine if i need to go the snake camera route, or water hose into the pipe and see if it will flush.

Thoughts?

vent is probably a good place to start. other possibility could be a dried out trap but probably not in your case.

Thanks. I'll head up to the roof when I have someone who can hold a ladder.

This is an old pier and beam house. I got in the crawl space to confirm no leaks under the house.
