Does anyone know what this is technically called? I've heard it called a snorkel, but that's not a technical term that I can find what it is.

It's to raise the combustion air vent up above snow line. Ours is about 6 in above the ground but we had a bunch of snow and noticed some snow in our basement today by the furnace. Likely from wind blowing it from the ground up and through the pipe. We regularly get more than 6" in of snow so I'd like to get this taken care of.

I didn't have to deal with those in my region, but I'd call it a combustion air intake/vent.
