The ONLY possible cure is to hit it with a spray of itsyy-bittsy tiny little green boxes with teeny tiny exclamation points in them......

Haha. I knew this response was coming. I tried to post from my phone and was going to fix the image link when I got back to my desk. Unfortunately, TWC is out and I'm waiting for a tech to fix my issue. For some reason, the link I get from the hosting site I was using doesn't work from mobile.

Bermuda grass?

Looks like Bermuda grass runners to me

It's not a runner of Bermuda or St. Augustine. It sprouts from a core in all directions- like a spider. It's runners can grow several feet over the curb/sidewalk.

I can pull up some St. Augistine runners that have "purple" or maroon coloration, from my own yard.

The blades being discolored is of little consequence.

I'll try to post more pics tonight. The wife pulled most of them yesterday but I think I saw a couple. Thanks all for your help.


Also, I think FloriTam St. Augustine has purplish runners but this isn't it.

Yes Floritam has purple runners, but they're usually (at least in my yard) much thicker than these and don't have that color on the blades.

I have a lawn service but asked them to skip the last round due to the August heat/wind keeping most of my yard from growing (except these dang weeds). Also,I was intentionally leaving them long for more surface area for the poison (neighbor gave me his stuff - I'll post tonight what it's called). Unfortunately, it didn't work and I doused them.
Since It didn't work after about a week, the wife pulled them so we don't look like the ghetto yard in the hood.

I'm thinking it may be Jungle Rice.

I've killed it with MSMA before but have stopped using it due to having St. Augustine.

Honestly, no clue. But if it clumps and is easy to pull, that may be your best bet. I'm a big fan of roundup, but it would kill your other grasses too.
