Eventually

Decent idea, but a super slow play when this board isn't frequented as much as, say, the outdoors board

Play it out about a week at a time and it'll last a while.

My first job ever was hauling rebar and doing manual excavation for my dad's concrete company when I was 14. I got fired because I didn't clean my room one weekend. Then dad enlisted me to help him gut/reno our house when I was 15.

Demo the stucco exterior of our house. First job in my own place was new closet rails and shelves.

Best HI/DIY thing you've ever done?
Probably completely rebuilding my sunroom and converting it to a laundry room without ever taking the roof off. (It's still not done, btw)

Biggest HI/DIY disaster you've ever had?
Replumbed my entire house and killed the water at the meter before I put a new section online. When I turned the meter back on it blew all the rust out of the old galvanized service line into the new PEX system and clogged up EVERYTHING. I ended up having to cut the main line after the riser, ran a hose from the main supply to the last hosebid on the system and ran water through it backwards. There was so much dislodged rust and tuberculation that it ran what looked like red mud out of the lines for a full 15 seconds.

What's your preferred jam while HI ensues?
I don't normally listen to music when I need to concentrate on something because it's distracting. I listen to whatever is on my phone when I'm working outside. It tends to be high energy stuff from a lot of different genres because that's what I listen to at the gym.

Favorite burger joint and usual order?
In-N-Out: Double Double, no onion, no mayo, and a light fry with pepper.
Since we don't have In-N-Out in Houston, it's probably Smashburger Baja or Whataburger Monterrey Melt with jalapenos.

How do you like your steak cooked?
Medium rare. Salt, pepper, fire.

HD or Lowe's
HD for building materials; Lowe's for finishes or stuff HD doesn't sell.

Seriously, though, the kitchen and laundry are all contingent on my hiring someone to finish the sheetrock, which I'm doing soon. Priority project is landscaping the backyard and installing a new fence.

Finish re-siding and insulating the house.

The regular ones, probably six or eight if I was really trying to eat my feelings. Normally I would only eat one or two.

I don't drink very often, so I would probably say College Station because I always land at the Chicken with buddies.

I don't get bonuses, but if I did, I'd pay down debt. I'd burn off the vacation on my trip to Normandy next month and moving my parents in June. Gift cards would finish my projects and leave some to share with all of you folks.

I deal with the "front lines" infrequently enough that most inspectors don't know me and I don't identify myself as such. I want the same experience everyone else gets because it's important to know how we're doing in a real environment.
