I have a large picture window looking out to my street from the living room (102 1/8" x 55 1/2").

Currently there are two sets of off-the-shelf faux wood blinds in the window. I have always meant to replace or at least trim off all the excess at the bottom. Well the dog finally took care of that for me, and decided to rip off the bottom half of one of the sets while I was at work.

Would this window be too large to buy a single set to replace with? The small gap between the two sets has always bothered me, as we are pretty close to the street with a lot of foot traffic and I feel like you can see inside when its dark out.

max size at box stores is typically 72".

justblinds can go up to 120" for their "premium" faux wood blinds and I've had good success with them. It's nice because they cut the height to order so you don't have to trim the excess yourself.

Thanks Ill go check those out. Have you used any close to that length?

Did a single set work ok for large width (able to lift, tilt, didnt sag?)

I did 90" and it worked out well. They give you multiple supports to screw into the header so it won't sag.

They will be heavy....pulling them up will probably take two hands and some oomph.

If there is a budget blinds in a your area it will probably be cheaper through them installed than you ordering and hanging yourself.
