So I'm at a loss for a replacement for my tub diverter spout. I unscrewed the spout thinking it's a standard threaded end and I find this plastic adapter.

Well, like a genius I crack the thing while I'm unscrewing it and I find this brass adapter underneath.

I've looked online and about the only info I can find is that it's a Delta tub spout adapter with an o-ring. My problem is I can't find any information online as to which spout is a suitable replacement, and more importantly where I can find a replacement plastic adapter/reducer stem.

Any of you had any experience with this when changing out a tub diverter spout? The only identifying mark I can find on the spout is the number 9582 stamped on the inside.

You can unscrew the brass fitting from the 1/2" copper adapter and install a threaded tub spout.

That looks like my setup. I used spout model rp17453 to replace mine.
