approximately how much it would cost per sqft to get about 130-150 sqft stamped/stained concrete patio in NW Houston area installed?

I'm interested in this as well. Debating stained/stamped concrete vs. flagstone.

Is it already poured and it will be going over existing or pouring new?

9.59 sq/ft is what I'm paying in the clear lake area for some this month. It's part of a larger project though with a 20% overhead fee. Which would make it ~11.50.

That seems way too high.

No that cost is probably fairly close. Flatwork (4" concrete with #3 rebar) for that small of a job is running about $5.00/sqft turnkey. Then you add the stamping or scoring and staining which runs for this small of a job around $3.50-$4.50 depending on what you are wanting. $9ish per foot is pretty much right in line.

Now if you were doing a few 1000sqft it would be less on a per foot basis.

Now if the base is already poured and you are just staining then it is quite a bit less.

I haven't had it priced in a while, but $8.50 a square foot for a 4" thick non-integrally colored stamped slab should get you there.

Now that the professional has spoken, looks like I was close.

Just had a company come out and give an
estimate-too expensive because they have a $2000 minimum, and I'm not looking to spend but about $1000-$1500.

Anybody have recommendations for the NW Houston/Cypress area that don't require a "minimum" and would be willing to do a small project this size?

Edit: This will be a new pour as I already have a deck which I plan on removing by myself.

This is the sub-contractor who will be doing mine. I'm doing 270 sq. ft. at $9.59. I don't know if they have a minimum job size though.

That is who I had give me an estimate. He said their minimum was $2000 for stained/stamped & $1500 for reg. concrete. Not sure why we got varying information from the same company.

edit: you'll be over the $2000 minimum so there was probably no need to mention it.

How fast do you need it done? I have a couple of companies that we use that would do that small of a job for above mentioned price per foot slot but it will not be considered a priority job. It could be a few days to a couple weeks until they can fit it in.

If interested then PM or email me and I will send you their information.

Call Mark Reyna at Houston Hardscape.

He did our driveway/patio and was awesome to work with. His cost will be right in line with above, somewhere around $9/ft I would guess. He did excellent work, very detail oriented.

Your problem is the size of the job. If you want it any cheaper than that, you have a few options: 1) DIY, 2) hire someone who is new at the game to build their resume or 3) hire someone with the knowledge that they may not be the best at what they do.

Honestly, for that small of a slab, I would give it the old college try. Rent some stamps, learn about integral or applied coloring, rent a mixer and get to work.

Approx material cost for 150 SF

Concrete: $270- Assume 4 CY min
Forms, Rebar, Exp Jt, etc- $200
Color, Release, Sealer- $200
Stamp Rental- $200

Approx Material- $870

After labor (assume 3 seperate trips), equipment, insurance, overhead, & profit, $12-13/ SF, for 150 SF, would be a bargin.

Yeah, I'm realizing it's the size of job. I have a company coming here tomorrow for an estimate. Over the phone he have me a ballpark estimate of about $10/sqft for a paver patio instead. Thanks for the input everyone.
