How long do you want to ignore this user?
I will eventually need to replace a sewer line that runs from the house to the alley and I would rather not have it run under the foundation of an unattached garage.

Question, how much angle/bend can you reasonably put in a sewer line and still have it work properly?

They make 45 degree bends for PVC sewer pipe. You should be fine with those in a 4" service line. If you have decent fall, you could probably use a 90 degree sweep. By the time anything you flush or drain gets that far it should easily pass through bends.

90 degree bends are used throughout the plumbing under your slab. If you use 45 degree bends to make a 90 degree turn be sure to allow for 12" spacing between the two fittings.

There is a long sweep 90 bend.
